This is a season of projects for me. I praise God for a husband who cleans the house, takes care of the bird and cats, does the laundry and does the dishes. He also does 99% of the shopping, keeps me on task and tells me the news that is going on CNN.
You would think with all this help I could just work my little job, write and take it a bit easier. But God laughs at the plans of men and women.
My plan was to spend my day off writing on Flannery's Secret. Then I got the call from the Mule Day committee that they are allowing me to come and spend a total of 23 hours with them next week!
Then I got a call that the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference will allow me to bring my collection of articles and outlines to sell at the Lifeway Bookstore at Ridgecrest.
Then I had to have a fast meeting with my publisher (ummm my husband) to get the books printed.
Since I get to put together those notebooks I am going to try to put together something for the Sci-Fi/Fantasy class I will be teaching. So out comes another list of things to write. I got three-fourths of the way through the World Building Guide when my Charlie comes to tell me we are going to Franklin to protest something to do with the battlefield.
All this and not one word put on Flannery's book.
But here is what is wonderful- God is in control. He knows I love a challenge and I work so much better under time constraints. So you see- in the end- it will all get done.
Oh and Charlie... dinner will be late tonight!
